This trek is perfect for those with little hiking background but want to get a true jungle and cave experience. It begins deep in the jungle of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, Vietnam. You’ll take a short hike to the impressive Elephant Cave, then a walk through Ma Da Valley to the amazingly blue waters of Crystal Ma Da Lake. After lunch and swimming, you’ll continue trekking to Tra Ang Cave were everyone will gear up to swim into the furthest reaches of the cave.
Pickup and safety rules
Arrive at the trek departure point and start trekking through the jungle to the Elephant cave
Reach to Ma Da Lake- swim into Ma Da crystal lake.
Enjoy BBQ lunch
Discover and swim into the Tra Ang cave
Start trekking back to Ho Chi Minh Road
Drive back Phong Nha and your hotels in Phong Nha. Tour end
We will pick you up anywhere in Phong Nha. We do advise you to stay the night in Phong Nha before. It is possible to take a bus in the evening after the trip.
Trekking shoes Euro sizes 36 – 45 are available to use. We suggest bringing your own shoes if these do not suit you. We do not suggest Goretex/waterproof boots as these take these take a long time to dry. It will be muddy, be prepared that your shoes will get very dirty if you decide to use your own.
This tour is doable for everyone of moderate fitness level. You do not need to be a super experienced hiker for this tour. There will be some climbing and slippery parts.
